Dear Deviants, fans and friends,
Since 2007, the team at CosplayDeviants.com has worked tirelessly at expanding beyond just being a costume themed website for adults. Our management, models, photographers, and staff have focused heavily on creating a community that celebrates cosplay of all kinds - free of judgement, prejudice, and stereotypes. Part of this initiative has been (on occasion) to design entertainment for like minded conventions around the world.
Sometimes, though, things don’t work out the way we’d like.
It is with a heavy heart that we must inform our fans that Cosplay Deviants will NOT be appearing at Anime Los Angeles 2013 as previously announced. With signed contract in hand, entertainment planned, and models on deck to appear, we were ready to celebrate Deviant style in sunny Southern California. Unfortunately, various details couldn’t be worked out in advance between ALA management and CD’s production team.
Both parties tried, with the best of intentions, to make it happen… but sometimes it’s just not meant to be.
Rest assured, we are already working on RETURNING to Southern California at the same convention where we made our Los Angeles debut: Anime Expo. We’re hoping to have details announced at the beginning of 2013.
We wish the team at Anime Los Angeles the best of luck this year - and we hope they can learn to be a little more Deviant in 2014.
