I think that the existence of the VIP content and the rules to access it are quite reasonable. What's the alternative, after all, offer VIP access for more money? Sticking around, posting and staying out of trouble aren't too high a price to pay at all.

The rules are fair, but I do have a question. I just had some credit card fraud recently and it's likely my account will lapse before I'm able to re-open it. Will my post count be reset and my VIP status be revoked if that happens or will I have the option to renew my existing account if it lapses?

Your posts and rank will be saved if your account lapses. When you are able to renew just re-join using the exact same username & Password and our system will re-establish all of your info.

Nothing, it's completely voluntary.

From what I have seen, maybe it is just another section in the forum that becomes visible, a VIP section. But then again, I don't know for sure, as I do not have VIP yet, lol.

Same here, but I'm also proof that it isn't that hard if you have honest opinions/thoughts/responses to share...as this is my 100th post, and I've only been with the site for < 2 months...so the 'activity' restriction seems reasonable.

defiantly a good idea to get users more active. Still, there are ppl who are just antisocial or just don't feel like they can contribute to an ongoing thread. What about a possibility of multiple renewal periods for number of posts?

Thats a possibility I am willing to consider :)
